Dear Friends,
It is time for the Missouri Annual Conference of the United Methodists. It will be held in Branson, MO. Can you imagine being in the most fun place in Missouri only to have meetings inside a convention center from morning to night for three days? Sounds like fun so Reggie Danials, Pastor Chris, and I will have a blast this weekend discussing the business of the Conference, ordaining clergy, licensing candidates for ministry, remembering the saints who have died this past year, and setting the budget for the coming year. Pray for us, please.
Our Mini Food Bank is this coming Monday, June 13th. The truck arrives at 8 a.m. and we begin as soon as everything is ready. If you have time and would like to help, come on and jump in. We serve 50-70 families. Whatever the truck delivers, we give away. It’s a lot of fun.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace is building beds on Saturday, June 18th at 9 a.m. Boy Scout Stephen Harrell is organizing and running this build to earn his Eagle Scout. He is a student at Timberland HS and will be a senior. He is also the drum major for the marching band. We are happy to help. The build will take place in our parking lot.
Worship on Sunday will be led by our United Women in Faith. A mission candle burning will take place and recognitions for service this past year as well. The scripture for the day is Matthew 18:1-5, 25:32-40. If you would like to read ahead, please do so in order to prepare your heart and mind. I am thankful the ladies are leading worship and sharing the stories of their faith. There will be a brunch served from 8:30-9:30 a.m. followed by worship at 10 a.m.
God bless us every one, Pastor Mark
