Live. Love. Grow.

Weekly Greeting from Pastor Mark

Dear Friends,

Memorial Day is upon us and summer vacations are beginning. I hope your summer travel is safe and your time away enjoyable. We all deserve a break.

There are two activities at church that need your help. We hired Carole Ann Miller to lead our ministry with children and families but she cannot do that alone. She needs your help for one Sunday a month for Children’s Time either at 9 or 10:30 a.m. during worship. Carole Ann will teach and direct the activities but little ones need help so would you assist Carole Ann?

Second, our Concert Series will kick off with a big tent event Saturday, August 27th. We will have live music from 1 – 6 p.m. The volunteer opportunities will need folks to welcome guests, and help move chairs and tables. There will be marketing and promotions to get the word out. Lots of opportunities to serve. Please talk with Todd Oberlin about helping to make this event a great success!

I hope you were able to hear our Senior’s Last Words. It was a special day of worship. They will be graduating and on to bigger opportunities. Let us keep them in our prayers.

This Sunday we will remember the ascension of Jesus which ends Eastertime and flows into Pentecost. If you’d like to read ahead, Luke 24:44-53. Jesus was speaking to what the disciples had seen, heard, and experienced which fulfilled the law and prophets. Then he ascended. Can you imagine? I must ask, “How have you experienced the presence of Christ, and what is your witness?” We’ll talk more on Sunday.

Blessings, Pastor Mark
