Live. Love. Grow.

Weekly Greeting from Pastor Mark 11/17/2022

It has turned cold so bundle up and stay warm as best you can. I am sorry for the change in climate but it is Fall and Thanksgiving is next week so let’s do the best we can with what we have to work with. Brrrrrr.
The Church Council met on Monday evening and reviewed our 2023 Proposed Budget. There were concerns about our Stewardship Campaign. So far, we have 90 pledges to our Ongoing Ministry equaling $226,104, and 51 pledges to our Building Fund with $67,864 pledged. Both amounts are less than our proposed budget. If you are able and meant to pledge, it would be greatly appreciated. Our regular giving provides the funds to operate the church and its ministries. I understand the worry and difficulty of everyday expenses. Let us do our very best in serving Christ with our entire selves.

This Friday at 7 p.m. the SCCC Chamber Chorus will perform in our sanctuary. It promises to be a great event. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.. Bring a friend and enjoy.

After worship on Sunday, we will decorate the CLC, Lobby, and Sanctuary for Christmas. A light lunch will be provided so come and join the fun by preparing for Advent and Christmas. There will be gingerbread houses for the children to build so bring the family!

This Sunday we celebrate Christ the King as it will end our Christian calendar. Our bell ensemble will be playing in the first service. I hope you come and enjoy the music of our Rolling Tones. I really enjoy their music.

See you on Sunday, Pastor Mark
