Dear Friends,
I am glad to see various counties making progress in lowering the curve of positive cases for the COVID19 pandemic. Gov. Mike Parsons has issued the “Show Me Strong Recovery Plan” effective Monday, May 4th. St. Louis city and St Louis County have continued their restrictions but St. Charles County is following the governor’s guidelines.
WUMC will continue to offer live online worship at 9 and 1030 and restrict public worship this coming Sunday, May 3rd. We will evaluate the health conditions next week and slowly open worship to the community by following the guidelines found in the Show Me Strong Recovery Plan. We will enforce a social distance of six feet indicated by marked seating. There will be hand sanitizers readily available. Offering plates will be available as you come and go from the sanctuary and doors will be wedged “open” so that we reduce the amount of physical contact with surfaces. There will be no hugging, handshaking, or shared elements for Holy Communion. Let’s stay healthy and safe.
We have sad news today, Angela Langdon has resigned her position as Children and Family Ministry Director. We are sad to see Angela go but wish her the very best.
I’ll look forward to seeing you on the internet on Sunday, Pastor Mark
