Dear Friends,
Hello October and cooler temperatures! We’ve waited for this time and finally, it’s here. Each season has its benefits and for me, it’s the changing colors and cooler temperature. Even raking leaves is enjoyable.
The Saturday is the Adopt A Family golf tournament so we look forward to 116 golfers, lots of silent auction items, and dozens of hole sponsors along with a great day of golf. It’s a lot of fun and the 21st anniversary of this event. Wow, not too many organizations can say that.
This coming Sunday is World Communion Sunday. A special offering is taken with ½ going to Ethnic Scholarships and ½ going to Ethnic In-Service Training. This is one of six special offerings for the United Methodist Church. Envelopes are available and a special portal in Tithe.ly will be open for your offering. It’s another way to be in ministry with our United Methodist brothers and sisters around the world.
We will conclude our series on the book of Philippian this Sunday with a sermon titled, “Reasons for Confidence”. Please look ahead to Philippians 3:4-14. Contemplate who or what gives you the confidence to do the things you do. Many of them are automatic but some are because of your education or training and one or two come from a divine gift. God just smiled and said, “Here you go.” I hope to see you in person or on the internet.
There will be drive-through Communion from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. along with Holy Communion at the end of each service in the sanctuary.
God bless us every one, Pastor Mark
