Dear Friends:

How do we respond when everything unravels? Do we give up and quit? Our final sermon in our series “Unraveled” looks at the story of Job. It’s not a long book and would be good to read through.  If you do that between now and Sunday, consider two things:  1. What is the one thing I want to understand? 2. How do I regard God as an authority in my life? What we find in the book of Job may help answer these questions. 

We have Blessing of the Backpacks during the Children’s Moment at both services this Sunday. All children, teachers and education staff are invited to bring their backpack or briefcase as we pray for a successful school year.

Party in the Parking Lot

Mark your calendars for 11:30-1:30 pm on Sunday, 8/25! Our Children and Family Director, Angela Langdon, is planning some great fun for you and your families, friends and neighbors. The party features a Bubble Truck, Bounce House and Music! The event is FREE and there will be food available for purchase. Let’s party!

United Methodist Day at the Ballpark is on Saturday, 8/24. This is a 6:15 game with the Cardinals and Colorado Rockies and all UM Right Field Box seats are $25. Pick up an order form in the Connections Center. Order deadline is Sunday, 8/18. See Kermit Sandorf for more information.
