Dear Friends:

I am so glad we hosted the Ignite Mobile Camp last week. People are still talking about it and asking if we’ll have them back next year. I would say “yes,” but they have two more weeks of camps and then evaluations for the current year before making 2020 plans. I’ll keep you updated as the summer wanes and plans develop.

We have several big events coming. The Wentzville School District Back-to-School Fair is Saturday, August 3rd, and the Youth Group will staff our church table and distribute pencils at Timberland High School. That same day, our Adopt-A-Family ministry will have a Back-to-School Shop at Wentzville UMC.

On Wednesday, August 14th the Men’s Group will host a Church Dinner which follows the first day of school for the Wentzville school district. Wow, where did the summer go? Look for more details in the August WUMC Newsletter.

This Sunday we continue our sermon series, “Unraveled” with the story of Jesus and Peter walking on the water. See Matthew 14:22-33 and prepare your hearts to hear God’s word for you. I am glad to be your pastor and to serve Christ in this community. May we experience God’s grace each and every day.
