Live. Love. Grow.

We-Mail from Pastor Mark

Dear Friends:

It is a joy to have Donna Norman back in the office on a limited schedule after falling and breaking her left arm and big toe. She is getting better each day so be patient and gentle. Donna is healing.

I have seen the news and heard the weather reports. A winter storm that could snow 4-5 inches is headed our way. If the streets are clear and the parking lot is open we will have worship on Sunday at 9 and 10:30. Watch your local Fox and NBC telecasts for updates on Sunday morning. You can also call the church for an updated recorded message, or check our Web site at www.livelovegrow.org. Updates will be posted by 6:30 a.m.

This coming Sunday is very special as we will remember our baptism and participate in one at the 9 a.m. service. It was significant when God opened the heavens and said, “You are my Son, the beloved; with you I am well pleased.” (Luke 3:22)   As children we want affirmation from our parents, but was there something more that happened that day? Let’s dig deeper on Sunday and discover how much God loves us.

2019 has great opportunities coming. Our youth will be in mission to Minneapolis the week of June 23rd and we will offer a different kind of VBS in July. It is called Basecamp. It is for school age children, grades K-6. The campers will have fun, learn who Jesus is and how much God loves them along with great music, games and three areas of interest: technology, art and sports. It will be offered Monday through Friday, 9-4 p.m., July 8-13th. Sign up begins in January. The cost is $125 and $25 discounts are available through February. Watch for more information of how you can participate in this exciting outreach to our community.

There is so much happening in the news, around the world and in our community. Continue to hold in prayer our elected officials and those impacted in the recent government shutdown. It is a trying time. My prayer is for shared goals, good choices and decisions that benefit all the people. “Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.”

See you on Sunday,
Pastor Mark
