The church has been transformed into a beautiful wonderland of Christmas cheer as we await the birth of the Christ Child. Our theme this year is “Draw Near,” with the focus of wonder, truth, justice and one another. Our banner committee has fashioned two new banners located in the lobby. There are images in the design that you must find to appreciate. Our Chrismon tree has returned with traditional images and a booklet to describe what they represent. We have devotional booklets, one per household, to guide us on a daily walk to the manger. I hope you find it inspiring.

Those of you who like to read ahead and prepare your hearts for the message on Sunday, we will be reading from Luke 21:25-36 with the focus on “Wonder.”

One of our youth is taking a trip to Iceland in 2020 with the Holt High School Student Leadership Program. Tonight (Thursday, 11/29, from 4-10 pm) there is a fundraiser at the Wentzville Texas Road House. If you would like to support John Hastings, there will be flyers at the restaurant you can present to your server and 10% of your total food purchase will be donated.

Finally, if you selected a tag and purchased a gift or household item for the Adopt-A-Family Christmas Magi Store, please bring it to church by this Sunday, 12/2. Gifts and items need to be unwrapped with the tag attached. Thanks for your support.
