Friends,
What a great evening we had last night. Our Chili Cook-off was a great hit and lots of chili was tried with Tanner Grannemann the most votes for the best chili. Congratulations Tanner! It was really good chili.
I hope you received your 2022 Stewardship letter in the mail. It is that time of year for looking ahead and planning on the future events of WUMC. Each of are important and has a vital role in the congregation. Some of us sing, others meet and greet, a good group love working in the kitchen or hosting in the Café. There are any number of ways to serve Christ inside and outside the church. I hope you will prayerfully consider your part in supporting the ministries of WUMC. If it’s a fixed income and no room for more, mark your 2022 card “same” and turn it in on October 31 or November 7th. If you can increase toward a full tithe, take that step of faith and God will bless your giving. I know Pastor Chris and I have tithed and found the many blessing that comes with personal service and a financial commitment.
This week we are looking at Hebrews 5:1-10. Take a look and consider how Christ speaks for you to God as your High Priest. It’s a little different than what we’re used to but it’s a relationship Christ has with all his disciples.
See you on Sunday, Pastor Mark
