Live. Love. Grow.

We-Mail from Pastor Mark

Dear Friends,

The spring rains are wonderful for the grass and plants but wreaking havoc with my allergies. I hope you are enduring the seasonal change and the medicines are working.

Thank you for your support of our Mozambique Initiative. Donations have totaled $3,000, well beyond our goal. This will be so helpful to those needing help. Our sister church Resano Garcia and their pastor Rev. Bernardo Victorino will be filled with joy. The extra giving will go toward water filtration and possibly new congregations. The United Methodist Church is vibrant and growing in Africa. Thank you so much!

This week we will observe Holy Communion following the message. It is significant as the elements of communion remind us of the sacrifice and new life we have in Christ and reminds us our part in the Kingdom of God. It is a small amount but powerful in its symbol of God’s grace and love for each of us.

Our passage for Sunday is John 15:1-8. Take a look and listen for the Spirit of God to speak to your heart and visualize the presence of Christ with you. We will speak to God’s presence abiding with as the parable of vine and branches informs our awareness and connection with our Heavenly Father. I look forward to being in worship with you.

We are looking for volunteers to assist in our Media Booth, either running the laptop to advance the slides or running the sound board. It is not difficult and we will train you until you are comfortable. Can you offer one Sunday a month or two? It is a great way to be involved and part of the worship team. Please let me or Paul Morlock know you are interested.

God bless us every one. Pastor Mark
