What a week it has been. The rains returned last night. Hopefully no one was affected with flooding in their home or basements. The multi agency resource center (MARC) Tuesday evening at the Element Church in Wentzville was a great help to many families in the community. Clean up supplies were available and registration for financial help along with physical assistance to clean and sanitize homes was available. If you have any questions about helping or want to financially support the cleanup effort, please make your check out to WUMC memo line UMCOR or go to our tithely site with your computer or cell phone and make your contribution electronically. 

 This week our scripture lesson is from John 14:8-14. We are beginning a new sermon series called “Greater Things” with a focus on the “I Am” statements Jesus made during his time on earth. I look forward to seeing you and celebrating Holy Communion this coming Sunday too.  

There are many upcoming events: The Family Fun Day August 14th, Adult Choir begins rehearsal Wednesday August 17th, Concert Series Kick Off Saturday August 27 with worship under the tent Sunday August 28th. Our United Women in Faith have a special event Saturday September 10th and our Adopt a Family Golf Tournament October 1st. The life of the church is gearing back up for a tremendous fall and winter schedule. I hope you are ready and willing.
