Wentzville United Methodist Church

Weekly Greeting from Pastor Mark

Dear Friends,

What a wonderful time of year even though it has turned cold. Bundle up and stay warm as possible. Hopefully the snow and ice will stay north of us.

This week we have several exciting events. Saturday, the Men’s Group is having their breakfast at WUMC. Spouses are invited. It begins at 8 a.m. in the Cafe.

Our Women of Faith will have a Christmas Cookie sale beginning at 9 – noon with lots of cookies and bazaar items to select. I’m sure they are all delicious and calorie free.

Our Christmas Cantata is this coming Sunday at our regular worship times: 9 and 10:30 a.m. It promises to be a wonderful concert filled with joy and great music.

Christmas Eve services will be at 5 and 7 p.m. with Holy Communion. We will close with Silent Night sung in candle light. That is my favorite part of the night. You may want to attend both services. Our children and youth directed by Carol Ann Miller will present the Christmas pageant at 5 p.m. Our choir will provide special music at 7 p.m..

It is a wonderful time of year when we celebrate the birth of Christ and look to the new year with hope, peace, joy and love as our guiding light.

I look forward to seeing you on Sunday,

Pastor Mark
