Weekly Greeting from Pastor Mark 11/10/2022
It was a fantastic Turkey Dinner last night. Our UWF cooked up a storm and it was delicious. The bazaar was great with Christmas items, homemade and so special it was hard not to take something home. Don’t forget your chocolate-covered pecans and pecan halves. There is plenty to take home and offer as gifts or to back with. Thank you ladies for a wonderful evening.
Next Monday we have our food distribution for the St. Louis Food Bank. The truck arrives by 8:30 a.m. so we organize and begin when all is ready. Last month we served over 100 households so if you would like to volunteer, there is room for you.
Also, it is Mary Martha week so contact Debbi Head to see what day and open shift is available. I’m certain they can always use another set of hands to sort, hang and assist customers. It’s always a good day when you’re volunteering and helping others.
Lastly, we are receiving stewardship pledge cards for 2023. Your pledge will help our finance team and the Church Council prepare for the coming year. Please drop it in the mail or offering plate. We have experienced a fair number of members who have died in the past year or two. Please consider what you are able to do and let us know. The work of the Lord continues and our financial contribution makes a difference.
I look forward to seeing you on Sunday in person or via the internet.
