Wentzville United Methodist Church

Weekly Greeting from Pastor Mark

Dear Friends,

I am excited about our upcoming events. Wednesday, October 12th is our Church dinner at 5:30 p.m. We will feature a Chili Cookoff with all the fixings along with ice cream and brownies. Bring your appetite and brownies. It’ll be a fun evening.

Next is our Trunk ‘r Treat on Friday, October 14th, 6:30-8:30 p.m..  A fun evening of costumes, candy, and crafts. Carole Ann is prepared for inside activities if Mother Nature decides not to cooperate.

We all have been watching the news about Hurricane Ian and the destruction left behind in Florida and South Carolina. If you would like to make a contribution to UMCOR our Tithely portal is open and checks designated for UMCOR in the Sunday offering will be accepted and sent along promptly. There are so many who will need help recovering so let us be generous.

This Sunday we will discuss Luke 17:11-19. It is a story about 10 lepers but how do we see outsiders and the diseased in our world today? Are we afraid or willing to embrace them with God’s healing power? We’ll talk more on Sunday.

I look forward to seeing you in worship and afterward. Pastor Mark
