Wentzville United Methodist Church

Weekly Greeting from Pastor Mark 08/18/2022

Dear Friends:

What a beautiful day. I hope you are able to go outside and enjoy the sunshine and cool breeze.

Next week Wentzville School District begins their school year so this coming Sunday we will bless the backpacks of any children returning to school. We will also pray for the teachers and staff that support them. It is exciting and a little terrifying that our little ones will leave the nest for school.

There is time to make a last minute purchase for our Adopt A Family school supplies. Packets of paper, #2 pencils, spiral notebooks, 24 count crayons and post it notes are items we add to the back to school box in the lobby. Let’s see if we can fill it to overflowing!

Our concert series kicks off Saturday, August 27 with three bands and lots of games with good food to enjoy. Noon to 5 p.m. are the beginning and ending times. It’s going to be great!

This Sunday we will look at John 6:25-34. The crowd followed Jesus to a new destination but why and what did Jesus provide for them? Let’s read ahead and discuss what Jesus offers us today.

See you on Sunday, Pastor Mark
