Wentzville United Methodist Church

Weekly Greeting from Pastor Mark

Dear Friends,

Last Sunday was terrific. Our confirmation students professed their faith and four of them were baptized. All eight joined the church. It was a wonderful experience and I am so proud of them. We had a great time learning together and they want to continue learning and growing in their faith.

This week we will hear from six of our youth who will be graduating high school. It is sad to see them preparing to leave home for college and for several, entry into the working world, but this is why we have invested what we could to prepare them. I pray for their success and safety. May God’s blessing go with them and keep them safe.

Our passage this week is from John 14:23-29. Take a moment and read over it. Take a second look at it and listen for that inner voice about what troubles you. Is it finances or food security? Are you troubled by world events? We all have concerns but is it worry or fear? Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you in this passage to identify your trouble and we will speak more on Sunday.

I pray God’s blessings on you as we prepare for Sunday worship, Pastor Mark
