Wentzville United Methodist Church

Weekly Greeting from Pastor Mark

Dear Friends,

I am sorry to say we have had to change our plans regarding upcoming events. The spike in COVID19 cases has many of us on edge, fearful of passing along something that could be detrimental to our health, a loved one or a friends health as well. We had planned a Church Dinner for Wednesday, January 12th but with the recent positivity rate at 19.6% we are cancelling the dinner next week. We had also planned a concert featuring the City of Music All-Star Chorus on January 21st which has been cancelled too. The director of the All-Star Chorus contacted Todd and declined the invitation to perform.

This is sad news. I am sorry to disappoint you if you were planning to attend either of these events. This pandemic has affected everyone emotionally and some physically. Until we are beyond the infectious stages of the pandemic, we must observe our general rules as United Methodists – Do No Harm, Do Good, Stay in Love with God. I do not want anyone to become ill because of attending a meal or concert. Our Church Council has been informed and voted to postpone the dinner.

We will continue to offer in-person worship located in the Christian Life Center. We can maintain our social distancing and positive air flow. We highly recommend wearing a mask into and out of the facility. We will have masks available and hand sanitizer. If you are not feeling well, please stay home and take care of yourself. If we can help with meals or errands, please let us know. We love each of you and want the very best for our congregation.

God bless us every one, Pastor Mark
