Live. Love. Grow.

We-Mail from Pastor Mark

Dear Friends,

I am happy to be back from vacation. Chris and I got away for a few days. It was good to be available to my son-in-law for his mother’s funeral. We don’t realize the impact and change on our lives until such an event occurs. It will take time for all the details to be revealed but the awful feeling of absence is troubling. Hug your loved ones. Call and send them a note of how much you love them. It will be cherished in time. I appreciate written notes. Be kind to those who remain and celebrate your life.

Our Adopt a Family / Men’s Golf Tournament is  Saturday, October 2nd.  A record number of golfers have registered and hole sponsors are making this year’s event a success. Silent Auction items are available to bid on so stop by Saturday afternoon at the Wentzville Golf Club to see what is available. You may go home with a cherished prize.

Wednesday, October 13th is our Chili Cook-off and Church dinner. If you have a favorite recipe for chili, let us know you’re coming and bring a crockpot of your best chili. It’s fun and well worth the time. Proceeds will benefit our Media Team and their dream list of equipment.

This week’s scripture is taken from Hebrews 1:1-4 and 2:5-12. Take a look and think about Jesus as the reflection of God’s glory, sitting at the right hand of the Father. What does it mean to you for Jesus to be superior to the angels and inheriting a more excellent name? Also, how do we see Jesus? The scripture says he is, “…crowned with glory and honor…” what does that mean to you? We’ll talk more on Sunday.

God bless us every one, Pastor Mark
