We-Mail from Pastor Mark

Dear Friends,

I hope you were able to attend our pancake breakfast last Sunday. There was a great turnout. The fellowship was tremendous and the food oh so tasty. We collected $5,400 to pay down the principal on our mortgage. Thank you so much, you are an extremely generous congregation. Worship attendance was very good and everyone enjoyed the music, message, and Holy Communion. There were a lot of smiles as folks made their way home. Many asked if we could do this again on Labor Day and I do believe we will have another great pancake breakfast to enjoy.

This week we are beginning a new sermon series titled: “I’ve been meaning to ask…” with the emphasis on ‘Where are you from?’ Our scripture is from John 1:35-51. Two of John’s disciples heard John say, “There is the Lamb of God” so they followed Jesus to see why John would say such a thing. They ultimately joined the movement and invited others to come along. This will be a slightly different sermon style and each week we will have Holy Communion for those who would like to participate. I believe it will help to heal the hurt of the past year and the months of isolation.

We congratulate Rashon and Leon for completing their six-month Grace Period programming. We supported them financially so that they would have a safe place to live, support in seven areas of learning, and the stability of full-time employment, current payment of all expenses, and life lessons for a successful home. Thank you for supporting this ministry. It is life-changing.

I look forward to seeing you all this coming Sunday either in person or via the internet. God bless us. every one. Pastor Mark
