We-Mail from Pastor Mark
Would you believe snow in April? What a shock but for a day it’s not so bad. I guess Mother Nature had one more snow shower to share and look how pretty it is. Simply amazing. Hopefully, the flowers will survive and the rest of spring will be normal.
Our Community Garden has some interest and hopefully we can plant tomatoes, green beans, bell peppers, summer squash and zucchini soon. We may try onion, radishes and turnips but no cucumbers or watermelon. We tried that last year and it was not so good. All of our produce will be offered to local residents and than the folks at Green Gables Senior Apartments. They enjoyed fresh veggies and knew what to do with them. That’s the ticket for me.
This coming Sunday we will will look at John 10:11-18 but if your reading ahead or participating in our Vesper Service on Wednesday, we will include v1-10. Jesus is speaking to “The Good Shepherd” and what that means for his followers and flock we do not know about. It’s been there all along but did we notice?
I encourage your participation so look ahead and we’ll talk more on Sunday.
By the way, thank you for your overwhelming support of our partner church in Mozambique. The final count is not tabulated but we are over $2,400 which is a new record. Our connection as United Methodists will make a difference for many churches in Mozambique. Thank you so much!
See you on Sunday, Pastor Mark
