Wentzville United Methodist Church

We-Mail from Pastor Mark

Dear Friends,

It is Holy Week. We are offering a very special Good Friday service via Facebook live and on our website: livelovegrow.org/videos. It will be available beginning noon on Friday. You may view this very special service any time after 12 noon on Friday and as many times as you like. Please watch it with a friend and your family members. They will appreciate the readings, songs and message, “Betrayed and Denied.”

Easter Sunday is almost here and I am glad for a weather forecast of warm temperatures and blue skies. Our Easter celebration will start with a Sunrise service in the front of the church at 6:40 a.m.. A light breakfast will be available following that service and before each service with refreshments in the café (coffee, packaged pastries and muffins). Our regular worship times 9 and 10:30 a.m. will offer seating in the CLC and sanctuary as an overflow space with TV monitors connected to the CLC. We ask everyone to wear a face covering as COVID19 precautions are still in place.

I am excited to see you in person and via the internet (Facebook live and our website: livelovegrow.org/videos). It has been a difficult year for all of us. We are making progress in vaccinations but until the “all clear” is sounded, we will remain socially distanced and wearing face coverings when inside the building. Please respect these precautions for those not yet vaccinated.

Barb Heathcote has a dog named Finley. He’s a golden retriever and loves people, especially Barb. He felt ill recently and required emergency medical care. Barb shares her memory about this event  in a three page document. It’s a tale of love, care, the power of prayer and friends standing together in the presence of God for a friend – Finley. Please take a moment and read Barb’s story. It’ll touch you heart. HERE

I look forward to celebrating Good Friday and Easter Sunday with you. These services will bring each of us closer to our Savior, Jesus Christ. God bless us every one,

Pastor Mark
