Wentzville United Methodist Church

We-Mail from Pastor Mark

Dear Friends,

Brrrrr, it’s cold outside, and just about the time I think I can shovel the walk it snows again. Argh! Alas it is winter and the middle of February so Mother Nature is right on time and it’s what we have to look forward to in Missouri. I hope you are faring well and staying warm. Bundle up and be safe if you must go out.

This Sunday, February 14th we will offer two services. 9 a.m. will follow our traditional style of hymns, prayers, and messages. 10:30 a.m. will offer modern worship with contemporary music and meaningful prayer along with an inspiring message. If you can endure the cold there is seating six feet apart with masks and hand sanitizer. Hopefully, you have registered for a vaccine. If not go to https://www.sccmo.org/2162/COVID-19-Vaccine-Information

COVID-19 Vaccine Information | St Charles County, MO – Official Website
For questions about COVID-19 or assistance with registering to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, please call the Information Hotline at 636-949-1899, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mon-Fri. www.sccmo.org

Look for the registration link, a red bar mid-page. It is easy to complete and just takes a minute. There are multiple sites to register so go to all of them and get on the list. The sooner we are vaccinated the sooner we can be together for worship, Sunday school, and social gatherings.

I love our passage this week, Genesis 33:1-11 speaks to the reconciliation between Jacob and Esau. A great story of wrestling with our demons and finding the courage to make right what went so wrong. I look forward to sharing my thoughts and me to next Wednesday’s Vesper service at 6:30 p.m. when we can discuss this topic some more along with sharing our faith. A great pick me up between Sundays.

I tip my hat to our AAF volunteers who shopped and packed for our Wentzville School Nurses. Every school nurse was asked and answered with clothing, snacks, or items the school budgets do not supply. Unfortunately, the weather closed the schools when everything was packed and ready to deliver. Next week we will try again. You can help by dropping off a bag, box, or one of each to one or more of the 13 schools we supply. It is great to be part of a ministry that supports and makes a difference in our community. You can serve and be safe at the same time. Give the church office a call if you’d like to help.

See you on Sunday, Pastor Mark
