We-Mail from Pastor Mark
We are making our way through Advent. Our focus this week is “Peace” and reading from Mark 1:1-8. John the baptizer is announcing one greater than himself is coming who will baptize with the Holy Spirit. John must have a been dynamic speaker. Folks came from far and near to hear him speak. They were so moved that they gave themselves to baptism. Cleansing themselves of sin and selfish pleasures. I hope you can watch the service on the internet. Facebook live and our website: www.livelovegrow.org/videos will connect you to the video. The past several weeks we’ve struggled with technical issues because of downloads from Microsoft at inopportune moments. We will do our best to offer excellent, inspiring worship experience.
A few things to remember: Adopt A Family gift tags are available. Items are to be returned no later than Sunday, December 13th. We are offering a mid-week Zoom meeting to discuss our “Those Who Dream” Advent devotion study. Please join us on Wednesday’s at 6:30 p.m. for a half hour discussion. A special service for those who grieve the loss of a loved one will be offered on Sunday, December 20th at 4 p.m.. It is called “The Longest Night”. I hope you will plan to attend if a death in your family lays heavy on your heart. This service will minister to that grief and sadness. Lastly, our staff and volunteers have worked very hard during this pandemic to offer meaningful worship. I am very proud of their dedication and good work. It would not happen without them. Thank you, thank you and thank you.
Please remember, we have one service on Sunday at 9 a.m.. You may attend by wearing a face covering, social distance and use sanitizer.
We will offer Holy Communion following the service and drive through from 10:15 -11:30.
God bless us every one, Pastor Mark
