Wentzville United Methodist Church

We-Mail from Pastor Mark

Dear Friends,

It has been quite a week since the election on Tuesday and currently waiting for the final election results. Let us pray for the many workers counting ballots and the officials who report the results. There are many citizens waiting on pins and needles. My prayer is that we experience God’s peace and presence during this time of worry and turmoil. God bless and keep you.

We have sad news, Rev. Wayne Kidwell passed away earlier this week. He was the pastor at WUMC during the ’80s. His wife Elaine and family are making arrangements but COVID19 has complicated their plans.

Our next concert series event offers: “No Strings Attached and Redeemed” on Saturday, November 14th at 6:30 p.m. in our Christian Life Center. It’ll be a great evening of music and joy.

There is a church-wide Bonfire planned for Saturday, November 21st at 4:30 p.m. Bring a comfortable chair to enjoy fellowship and fire-roasted snacks.

I hope to see you this Sunday. We are moving into the CLC for worship. Our 9 a.m. service has grown in attendance to the point of needing additional space to maintain our social distance. I applaud you for wearing a face covering. It is vitally important to stay safe and take precautions. We have covered the seats and will sanitize them between services. All seats will be six feet apart. If you are not feeling well or have health concerns, please watch the service at home. We are on Facebook live at 9 and 1030 a.m. as well as posting both services on the website.

God bless us  every one, Pastor Mark
