Wentzville United Methodist Church

We-Mail from Pastor Mark

Dear Friends,
I am glad for those of you who participate in live worship and those who watch online to worship via the internet. The days and weeks have turned into months of caution and isolation as we attempt to remain safe from the pandemic. We wait and pray for those working to develop a vaccine. Our prayers ask for God’s strength for those working in the hospitals and doctors’ offices in treating patients with the virus. Please remain diligent in keeping safe and practicing proper precautions of handwashing, wearing masks/face coverings, and social distancing. We will continue to offer our very best in worship and support. Your church staff is working hard to maintain the facility, offer their very best in worship, and find creative ways to reach out to our community. Keep up the good work! Remember Galatians 6:9 “So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time if we do not give up.”
We are beginning a new sermon series called, “The Wesley Challenge” with our first emphasis on an “Upward Focus”. The scripture for Sunday’s message is John 3:11-21. Please take a moment to read over the text and meditate on the actions God has taken to love you. Such love and sacrifice are rarely acknowledged but God’s love for you has gone far beyond our comprehension. Part of Wesley Challenge is to contemplate who we are in Christ and how God is present with us, shaping us in God’s image. I will be sending a question each day in our morning prayer to prompt a moment of reflection. If you are not receiving the morning prayer please ask to be added by providing your name and cell phone #. Every day at 7:25 a scripture and prayer will be sent. It’s a great way to start your day, God’s word, and prayer we all can offer up to God. It’s one way of priming our spirits.
See you on Sunday, Pastor Mark
