Wentzville United Methodist Church

We-Mail from Pastor Mark

Dear Friends,
I am happy to say another year has begun for my appointment to WUMC by Bishop Farr. It is my pleasure to serve as your pastor. My prayer for this congregation is for our personal health during a time of pandemic and for our growth as this community continues to increase in number and diversity. May our engagement to those without a church home offer open arms and a place to live for God, love our neighbor, and grow in Christ. It amazes me how much we are able to accomplish together and the difference we make in our community. There is much more to be done and we are well on our way. Let us not become weary but muster our resources to fulfill the call of Christ to share the Good News of the Gospel!
We have several open positions in the staff: Children and Youth Director, and two nursery assistants. With the pandemic still raging, we are not offering nursery services or ministry to our children and youth. Once the WSD opens and clear guidelines are available from the SC Health Clinic, we will restart those programs. My prayer is for the right persons to interview and hire because they make a huge impact on our infants, children, and youth.
We have room for you! Our worship services are available to attend in person. We highly recommend face coverings and will maintain social distancing. I know many of us are unsure about going out in public but as you are ready, come and worship our Lord and Savior. This week we will begin a series called “Growing the Church” with a look at John 17:1-11. Jesus was praying for himself, his disciples, and for us. I look forward to seeing you.
God bless us every one, Pastor Mark
