Wentzville United Methodist Church

We-Mail from Pastor Mark

Dear Friends,

Every so often we have an opportunity to engage our community and to make a difference. This week I was called to participate in organizing a Wentzville Unity Walk. It will take place Saturday, June 6th at 10 a.m. starting at 725 Wall Street, walking to Pearce Blvd then to Luetkenhaus Blvd and back to the church. We have the support of our City officials, Wentzville Police, and Fire Departments. Please come, support the unity of our community, and if not, then pray for those who want to be heard and understood. It is one way to share God’s love and grace.

I look forward to seeing you in worship. We sent a letter last week that public worship is available. There is limited seating because of social distancing but up to 40 people can be seated safely in our sanctuary. When we have more desiring to be in worship, we can move to the CLC where up to 80 can be safely seated. I know it is early in the opening of businesses and the church for public gathering. When you are ready, there is a place for you. Please let us know you are coming so that we can prepare a place and not turn anyone away because we are beyond the capacity of the worship space.

This Sunday is the 2nd Sunday of Pentecost known as Trinity Sunday so one part of or learning will involve understanding the three parts of God’s being: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Our scripture reading is from Genesis 1:1-2:4. It’s a long passage but tells the story of creation and how God made a place for us. I look forward to sharing this idea with you on Sunday.

See you in person or via the internet, Pastor Mark
