We-Mail from Pastor Mark
We are one week closer to being together but “not yet” so slow your roll. We’re getting there. Gov. Parson issued guidelines “Missouri Strong” which helps local businesses to reopen suggesting how best to keep the public safe from COVID19. The St. Charles Health Dept. and other medical advisors have recommended waiting so our Church Council has agreed to wait a few more weeks to evaluate conditions so that the public spread of the virus is at a minimum or totally safe. Bishop Farr has said to follow local officials’ recommendations and our United Methodist brothers and sisters in this county are waiting before opening churches to public worship.
We will continue to offer “live” online worship at 9 and 1030 each Sunday morning on Facebook. You can find a recorded version on our website: www.livelovegrow.org/videos . I hope you are enjoying the experience and feeling God’s presence in your home or wherever you are watching the service. My thanks to Paul Morlock and Brad Jones who worked tirelessly to work out the many details of broadcasting. It’s a lot more than we can imagine and every week it gets better. This week we have a special piece of music you won’t want to miss. I won’t spill the beans so tune in and experience it first hand.
The sermon this week is called, “A Safe Place to Be” from the scripture John 14:1-11. Jesus was speaking to the disciples about a place prepared for them that he was going to prepare. What safe place do you imagine Jesus preparing for you? Many of us are safe at home but outside of home, where is your safe place? What would you heavenly home look like? Could it be a place you experience now in your heart and relationship with Christ? I want us to consider what that safe place is now and in our future.
See you on Sunday, Pastor Mark
