We-Mail from Pastor Mark

Dear Friends:

It’s almost time for the big yellow bus to makes its way down the street to pick up children for school. We will be at the Back to School Fair at Timberland High School this Saturday, August 3rd from 8-11 a.m. Our Adopt a Family mission will also be open in our Christian Life Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to receive clients for back-to-school outfits and school supplies. Our prayer is that every student is prepared and ready to learn, and that teachers and school administration staff are equally ready to begin again. We will offer a Blessing of the Backpacks on Sunday August 11th at each service. It’s important to support our children and youth as they prepare to start the school year. God bless them, every one.

This Sunday we are continuing our sermon series, “Unraveled”. Take a look at Jeremiah 29:1-7 and think about the awkward situation the people of God faced. Exiled to a foreign land with different languages and customs. What would you find difficult and disturbing? How would you cope and find your comfort in this unique situation? Times are changing and how we adjust to new situations is always a struggle.

Let’s talk more about this on Sunday,
