We-Mail from Pastor Mark
It’s Holy Week. Our Maundy Thursday service is this evening at 6:30 p.m. The Sanctuary Choir, Redeemed Praise Band, Adult Bells, “Wall Street Philharmonic Orchestra” (WSPO) and Brass Quartet are rehearsing on Saturday for the Easter Sunday celebration. I hope you are able to attend; if not, tune into our Wentzville United Methodist Facebook page and watch the service live or at your leisure. We have three services on Easter Sunday: Sunrise at 6:30 a.m., followed by breakfast; Easter worship at 9 and 10:30 a.m. will be in the Christian Life Center, featuring our Easter Cantata, “A Living Hope.” It will be spectacular, so plan on attending and bring your family and friends. It promises to be absolutely wonderful. Finally, we will have worship at Twin Oaks at Heritage Pointe Assisted Living at 2 p.m. for those who are unable to get to church from that location. Sunday will be a great day of worship!
Several service opportunities are before us. The Community Garden at Memorial Park in the Heights will need folks to help plant, water and harvest the vegetables this summer. Our plants and flowers along the north side of the building and in the prayer garden will need attention for watering and weeding. And finally, we all enjoy seeing and hearing the song lyrics and components of worship on the screen. This is a simple ministry of following instructions provided by Traci Morlock, our Worship Coordinator. Advancing the slides and cueing the microphone is not difficult; it just takes a little instruction. We want to offer this opportunity to our church members who are willing to do more than just watch and listen. Please step up: all we are asking is one week per month for one service per Sunday. This is a great way to be involved and participate in worship.
See you on Easter Sunday,
