Wentzville United Methodist Church

We-Mail from Pastor Mark

Dear Friends:

It is feeling like fall with cool nights and warm days. The leaves will begin to turn and what a thrill it will be.
Our Youth Group is hosting a Halloween Family Event from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, October 28th. Join us for games, pumpkin carving, hot dogs and S’mores. Kids can dress in costume, and it will be a great time for young and old alike.
Recent hurricane damage in North Carolina, Alabama and west Florida has prompted the United Methodist Disaster Teams into action.  Teams will work in 2-week intervals, plus travel time: January 21 & 28; March 18 & 25; or May 13 & 20. If you would like to go and assist, call Rodger McQuate at 636-887-1884.
Our Children’s Christmas Musical will be performed during 10:30 worship on Sunday, 12/16. Children in Kindergarten through 12th grade are welcome to participate. First rehearsal is this Sunday, 10/21 from 12 Noon – 1:30 pm. Check the Connect Card on Sunday, or talk with Todd Oberlin for more information.
We are midway through our Stewardship month. Hopefully you have received your letter and are contemplating what your stewardship will be. The church has discussed the amount of money pledged, but what about our presence, being in worship and using our gifts? We all are good at something, so why not identify your particular talent and serve God with all that God has blessed you with. Something to think about.

See you Sunday,

Pastor Mark
