Wentzville United Methodist Church

We-Mail from Pastor Mark

Dear Friends:

We are saying “Goodbye” to August and “HELLO September!” It’s time to put your party hats on and get ready for a good time. Saturday, September 8th is Hill Fest and we have great plans for our church and community. Join us from 3-7 p.m. for food, antique cars, inflatable obstacle course and climbing wall, great music and visits from our Wentzville Fire and Police departments. It’ll be a fun day so bring your friends and have a good time.

Sunday, September 9th is our big worship celebration under the tent. Redeemed and our Adult Choir are working on new songs, a special baptism is lined up, and a church picnic will follow. We’ll provide the fried chicken and you all will provide the sides and desserts. It’ll taste oh so good. I hope you’re planning to come. Remember–one worship service only; begins at 10 a.m.

This Sunday we conclude our sermon series “Faces of Our Faith.” I’ve enjoyed telling the stories of significant people who are briefly mentioned in the Scriptures. Perhaps you have a favorite, and maybe you learned about a character who resembles you. This week we will read from the book of Philemon. It’s one chapter, so take a moment and hear what the Apostle Paul has to say and his plea for Onesimus.

September Newsletter
The newsletter will be sent in a separate email later today. If you do not receive it, please contact the church office. It’s also posted on the church Web site at www.livelovegrow.org, and hard copies are located in the church lobby wall racks.

See you Sunday,

Pastor Mark
